ABOUT US
Welcome to Pup Jam — the mobile grooming studio that rolls with rhythm and heart! Inside the van, you’ll find music playing, pups relaxing, and a groomer who believes every dog deserves to feel their best. Clean coats, happy hearts, and wagging tails — that’s the groove we’re all about.
Our Story
The Pup Jam Story: one dog to a dream
There’s a rhythm to every great groom — a mix of patience, trust, and love that plays out in real time. Pup Jam was built on that beat. From one curious dog mom to a full-time groomer, our journey is proof that when passion finds its tempo, the result is pure joy (and a lot of wagging tails).

The CREW
Behind the GROOVE
Hi, I’m Sharon — owner, lead groomer, and proud dog mom to Mr. Jam, the Aussiedoodle who started it all (and who’s pictured on the van!).
Before Pup Jam, I spent 29 years in software engineering — but my heart was always tuned toward creativity and connection. These days, you’ll find me behind the shears instead of a keyboard, making sure every pup in the van feels right at home.
When I’m not grooming, you might find me at Young Williams Animal Shelter, giving medicated baths and TLC to pups who need a little extra care. Volunteering there every other weekend keeps me grounded — reminding me that every dog deserves comfort, compassion, and a fresh start.
My blood runs Orange as they say… all UT Vol Alums in this house! I earned my Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2015 at age 40 — proof that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. (And ten years later, here I am again... making dreams real!) That problem-solving mindset comes in handy daily inside a mobile grooming van — trust me, there’s plenty of engineering happening between those walls!
Outside of work, I’m fueled by faith and family.
My husband and I are technically empty nesters, but Jam keeps the house anything but quiet. Our son’s a hard-working young man that we couldn’t be prouder of — you might even catch some of his original guitar music once we get the social media groove going.
Pup Jam is closed on Sundays because this girl treasures time with her church family. And if you see the van rolling early on a weekday morning, chances are K-LOVE’s playing through the speakers.
When I’m not grooming, volunteering, or walking Jam (he gets SO many walks!), I’m usually crafting or making something — from paper crafts and scrapbooks to handmade bows and ruffies for my furry clients. Add in some cooking, a good East Tennessee hike, great music, and the occasional Jeep adventure, and that’s my kind of perfect day.
Oh, and music? It’s in my DNA. Piano is my main instrument, though there’s an upright bass at home that I’ve gotten pretty decent at. “Always learning” might as well be my middle name.
At the end of the day, Pup Jam is more than grooming — it’s how I share creativity, care, and joy, one pup (and pup parent) at a time.
